Practical tools from TOGU for even more running fun

Four training devices in one: the TOGU Runner’s Senso® Motoric Workout Set

For all those who enjoy walking or running, the Bavarian family company TOGU® has now launched the ideal training package: the TOGU Runner’s Senso® Motoric Workout Set.  This is because running puts particular strain on joints and muscles, which applies to beginners and professionals alike. With the new set from TOGU®, specific areas of the body such as the ankle, knee and hip joints can be strengthened. This helps endurance athletes to prevent injuries – and enjoy their training even more.

The TOGU Runner’s Senso® Motoric Workout Set contains a total of four training devices that can be used especially for pre- and post-workout in running and, like all products from the Bavarian family business, are “made in Germany”. In detail, the set consists of the Senso® Balance Hedgehog, the Brasil® set of 2, the Actiball® and the TOGU® Fascia Ball mini. In particular, the training set has been developed for foot massage, sensorimotor function and recovery after walking or running. It also trains the arch of the foot and massages the foot reflex zones. Perception and coordination are also improved with the four training devices. The main purpose of the foot massages is to relieve tension after walking or running, reduce signs of fatigue and promote recovery. Special exercises are also used to strengthen the arch of the foot and stabilize the foot muscles.

Senso® Balance Hedgehog – promotes coordination and stabilizes the ankle joint

One part of the training set is the Senso® Balance Hedgehog, an air-filled hemisphere with comfortable nubs and a needle valve for air regulation. It is odorless and can be loaded with up to 200 kilograms. It is also completely manufactured entirely without the use of latex and is made of 100 percent recyclable plastic. Thanks to its unstable base, the Senso® Balance Hedgehog promotes a sense of balance, mobility and body awareness in adults and children alike. In particular, this device trains the ankle joint and the arch of the foot – especially in the area of foot and leg axis training. The curvature of the training aid creates a wobbly surface on which balancing movements must be performed in order to find a stable balance on the device. This also engages the brain, as it has to target the deeper muscles. The Senso® Balance Hedgehog can also be used by children to prevent boredom and increase their enjoyment of exercise.

Brasil® set of two – the intelligent deep muscle trainer in a double pack

nother component of the TOGU Runner’s Senso® Motoric Workout Set is the Brasil®, which is included in the training package as a set of two. The deep muscle trainer is a smart fitness device for everyone – even for home training. The two 200 gram hand trainers, which consist of an intelligent filling of air and weight, create a targeted shaking effect, thereby tightening the tissue and strengthening the deep muscles. The handy devices are also smart because they can be taken anywhere. For example, they can be used at work – and breaks can be put to good, sporty use. The Brasil® is also made entirely from recyclable material. A product that stands for quality and with which you can tighten the entire torso through targeted shaking exercises. The clever deep muscle trainers are good for the body anyway, as they are easy on the joints thanks to their ergonomic shape and low weight. The Brasil® is also best taken outdoors in colder temperatures, as the special Senso® nubs stimulate the senses and promote blood circulation. The Brasil® have been officially awarded the AGR seal of approval “Tested & Recommended”.

Actiball® – the space-saving tool for relaxed self-massage

It is an air-filled regeneration tool for self-massage and is also part of the new TOGU Runner’s Senso® Motoric Workout Set: the Actiball®, which is light and space-saving to use with a diameter of only around nine centimetres. The small ball is used for exercises with your own body weight, primarily to release adhesions or tension in the body. TOGU® has specially developed the specially flattened nubs so that they give people an even more pleasant and effective massage effect during exercises, which can promote blood circulation even better. The Actiball® has also been awarded the AGR seal of approval.

TOGU® Fascia Ball mini – the little power pack

The small fascia ball rounds off the TOGU Runner’s Senso® Motoric Workout Set perfectly. It is so small that it fits in any handbag, is a real power pack and can be used directly on the skin at any time thanks to its optimum firmness. The fascia ball mini addresses the fascia chain that rises from the arch of the foot via the adductors to the pelvic floor. Another advantage is that rehydration, regeneration and metabolism are stimulated after training with the fascia ball.

Surgery is always a challenge for the body. Whether it is the knee, hip, shoulder or spine – every procedure means stress for the tissue, a phase of immobilization and then the arduous reconstruction. What many do not know: How well the body regenerates after surgery depends decisively on how well it was prepared beforehand. This is exactly where prehabilitation comes in – the preoperative phase in which targeted training sets the course for a better healing process.

A strong back does not happen by chance. It develops through regular, well-dosed movement – and through exercises that target exactly where we often do too little in everyday life: stability, mobility, and conscious body awareness. Back exercises do not have to be complicated or time-consuming. Just a few minutes a day can provide noticeable relief and offer long-term protection.

As the days get longer and temperatures rise, we are almost automatically drawn outside. The first hiking trails become accessible again, running shoes are ready, and the bicycle is waiting to finally be taken out of its winter rest. But as great as the motivation in spring may be – the body often needs a moment to find its rhythm again. This is exactly where the real preparation for the outdoor season begins: with stability, strength, and mobility.

Children naturally move in a very instinctive way. They run, jump, climb, balance – and discover the world in the process. But in the everyday life of many families, reality looks different: long periods of sitting at school, homework, digital media, and a tightly scheduled daily routine often cause natural movement to shrink. Yet movement is not only important for physical development, but also for concentration, self-confidence, and emotional stability.

Getting started with training does not begin with perfection, but with a simple principle: consistency beats intensity. Especially in everyday life, which is often full, hectic, and unpredictable, movement quickly becomes secondary. Yet this is exactly where the key lies: When movement becomes a natural part of your day, not only your body changes – but your overall well-being as well.

Heavy Legs? – How the TOGU Senso Vein Trainer can help
    TOGU | 2 March 2026
Heavy legs, feelings of tension, or tired calves in the evening – many people are familiar with this unpleasant problem. Those who sit or stand a lot, or who get little exercise, quickly notice that their legs become heavy and swollen. The cause can sometimes be a weakness in venous function: the blood doesn't flow back optimally, it pools in the legs – and this leads to the typical feeling of heaviness.

In my daily work with horses and dogs, one aspect is always at the center of my approach: functional movement, body awareness, and sustainable stability. As a physiotherapist and osteopath, I do not work in a purely symptom oriented way, but focus on underlying causes. The goal is to restore physiological balance and support the body’s natural ability for self regulation. It is precisely at this point that the products of TOGU Animal come into use.
