Rider fitness is much more than a traditional full-body workout. This highly effective fitness course, specifically designed to meet the needs of riders, focuses precisely on the areas where stability, mobility and subtle aids in the saddle originate. Instead of conventional one-size-fits-all workouts, the focus is on targeted exercises for the shoulder girdle, back and deep core muscles, pelvic floor, diaphragm and respiratory muscles, as well as the stabilising muscles around the pelvis and hips. The goal is a functionally strong yet flexible body that can absorb, balance and follow the horse's movements without losing stability. This holistic training combines targeted muscle strengthening with mobility, flexibility, coordination, stretching and lengthening exercises, creating important foundations for a balanced seat, a more refined connection with the horse and greater ease during training together.
To provide varied and particularly effective training, different TOGU training equipment is used. The TOGU Redondo Ball supports, among other things, the activation and strengthening of the stabilising core muscles while also allowing for a wide range of mobility exercises. TOGU Loops provide targeted training stimuli for the legs, glutes, shoulders and arms and are ideal for functional strength training and stabilisation. And, of course, the TOGU Brasil are an essential part of the training as well. Through their special shaking impulses and the resulting reactive training stimuli, they particularly engage the deeper stabilising muscles. This finely coordinated stabilising work is especially valuable for riders, because a good seat is not created through maximum strength or muscular tension, but through the precise interaction of stability, mobility, balance and body awareness.
The course is suitable for riders of all ages, disciplines and ability levels, from beginners and recreational riders to ambitious competition riders and professionals. Different physical abilities and fitness levels are taken into account individually, and the exercises are adapted accordingly. Despite the focused and challenging nature of the training, enjoyment of movement remains at the heart of the course. Together in a group, the entire body is mobilised, strengthened and energised, with one clear goal: greater stability and mobility in the saddle, improved body awareness, more refined communication with the horse, and ultimately more enjoyment, lightness and sustainable success in riding.
