The Healthy Training Programme

Table of contents

The concept of “Healthy Training” is the result of a collaborative effort between TOGU and medical specialists

What is the best way for me to lose weight? What exercises should I do to get my back, knee, and hip problems under control? How do I train specific muscle groups? And most importantly: How can I get fit healthily and stay that way? TOGU can answer all these questions for you. Medical specialists have created the “Healthy Training” concept in close collaboration with the TOGU team. They have developed 15-minute movement sessions, which are free to download online, and can be implemented by anyone. Each of these sessions focuses on a specific training goal or problem area. Appropriate equipment sets are presented alongside each episode, which will significantly improve the training effect. The entire concept is available right now for download from the TOGU homepage.

TOGU revamped their online brand presence in late 2012. The reason for the relaunch: “We wanted to offer a much more user-friendly navigation that takes into account the needs of he individual user,” explains Wolfgang Moosleitner, Director of Sales at TOGU. The new “Healthy Training” concept presented by the innovative company headquartered in Prien at Lake Chiemsee in Upper Bavaria, is an important building block of their new online presence. Users will find the right movement programme to suit their needs quickly and intuitively. No matter whether the user wish to lose weight or reinforce their mental fitness, is suffering from back pain, shoulder pain, or knee problems, high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes: “Healthy Training” will offer just the solution they are looking for. The scientifically sound programme, which was developed in cooperation with general practitioners, sports medicine experts and TOGU, is easily implemented into daily routines at home. Beginners of all ages will find the right exercises to get started. The levels of difficulty can be adjusted to allow trained athletes to enjoy a full workout, while strengthening individual muscle groups, improving balance, or even alleviating joint pains. TOGU has put together a specific set of tools for each of these movement programmes to ensure healthy and effective training. In effect, they embody the very idea of the “Healthy Training” concept.

This programme is perfect for use as a preventative measure or even after symptoms have appeared: Please always ask your doctor or physiotherapist for advice in case of problems or pain. Healthy Training offers a solution you can implementyourself in your everyday life or as a supplement for your therapeutic treatment.

Dr. med. Gerrit Sommer: “Perfect training tools and easy to implement!”

The air-filled training equipment create a dynamic basis for your exercise regime. The necessary balancing movements improve not only coordination and equilibrium, they also help achieve a better interplay of muscles and nervous system. Exercising with TOGU equipment will activate deep muscle tissue, which usually cannot be consciously targeted but which is essential for the stability of a healthy body.

General practitioner and sports medicine specialist Dr. med. Gerrit Sommer, who is also team physician for the German snowboard national team, praises theHealthy Training programme in conjunction with TOGU equipment. “The unique and completely ingenious TOGU concept offers an optimised combination of excellent training tools and easy implementation of the various movement programmes for the patient. These aspects are then supplemented with a unique combination of exercises, targeting specific conditions and injuries, or concentrating on achieving weight loss. What’s more: the training sessions are perfect for any age group.”

Why preparation is important Skiing, whether alpine, cross-country, or ski touring, is one of the most popular winter sports, but it also poses particular challenges for the body. Joints, muscles, and coordination must work together perfectly to safely master stresses such as rapid changes of direction, jumps, or long descents. Those who start the season unprepared risk not only sore muscles, but also pain and injury. That's why it's worth training specifically before the first day of snow.
