Active dynamic sitting at school

More and more children suffer from back pain. According to physicians reason is, amongst others, a lack of movement and too long rigid sitting in the school. Already 6% of the 10-year-old suffer from back pain. Postural defects can result in postural damage.

Unilateral straining of the back muscles, poor supply of the discs and corresponding back problems occur not only in adults, but also in more and more children. Nature’s “construction” of their bodies is not created to sit, but to move. Nevertheless, children will have to spend a lot of time sitting, e.g. at school.

Therefore, ergonomics, physicians and scientists recommend in the context of the Association for Healthy Back (AGR e.V.) “moved sitting” also called active dynamic sitting:

Sitting on a movable support causes constant balancing movements and an interaction of tension and relaxation of the participating muscle groups. Also tissue structures and joints keep in motion. The discs are supplied with nutrients.

This process is largely unconscious, without a deliberate control. Most important recommendation is enough movement, which corresponds to the natural childlike urge for playing and physical activity. Simple exercises can already solve the problems. With the Dynair Ballkissen® Kids and Dynair wedge-Ballkissen® Kids, children sit not only upright, but above all actively and dynamically.
