Ankle joint exercises
Find here the recommended Trainingschart.
The ankle joint is one of the joints in the human body exposed to the highest loads, because with each step it must carry the whole body weight and transfer it to the ground. Injuries, inappropriate straining and the resulting difficulties in daily life or while conducting sports activities are almost a logical consequence. A stable and at the same time flexible ankle joint can be trained by balancing and coordination exercises as well as mobilization.
Balance training means also exercising strength and the sensorimotor system at the same time. Explained in a simple way, the sensorimotor system is the interaction between the sensoric (nerve strings) and motoric (muscules, sinew) functions of the human body. Therefore with the instable TOGU platforms, you train your balancing skills and unconsciously along the way your nerve system as well as your deep musculature, which is providing mobility and stability for your joints.
The 15-minute ankle joint program, which has been developed by Dr. Sommer, physician of the National German Snowboard Team, and which you can download online here, contains such exercises. It can also be performed by untrained people. Through the deployment of specially compiled TOGU device sets the training stimulus is even more intensified. Additional devices, which you will find in this category are also suitable for the application in this field.
