The current German Trial Master and multiple junior World Champion Raphael Pils gains first experience on the bike balance board and is obviously having fun.

Moving on the bike balance board feels the same as on your bike. Just like a mountain bike, it is steered by the body.
Depending on your current level of training, steering the bike with your body is being perfected or you start learning to balance your bike’s movements faster and more precisely.
This also helps you become more flexible and yet more stable on your bike.

What does the bike balance board train?
By balancing on the air-filled ball you train your muscles, brain and nervous system simultaneously. This gradually improves stability and bike specific fine motor skills. The brain “saves” new and, above all, improved movement patterns – your body then intuitively resorts to these patterns itself.

And training with the bike balance board never ends. The ball underneath the board is equipped with a needle valve.

The higher the pressure in the ball the “faster” the bike balance board becomes – you constantly train on your borderline. Thereby, you push your boundaries step by step and you’ll get better and better.
Simply change the ball’s air pressure with a ball pump. Beginners should select the lowest air pressure – pros may and will increase the air pressure right away.

Training with the bike balance board takes place on a surface area of less than 2m x 2m.
